The Sun Seeker
THE SUN SEEKER IS AN ARTIFACT INVOLVED IN MANY STORIES...
Before she left him, she recorded a sound letter in the Sun Seeker, a device they bought when they were in Kepler-34b for vacation. However, he could never listen to her message.
The story suggests that he could never listen to the message because he never reached the same heartbeat with which she encrypted it. Thus, this process is an exercise for making real the faculties that a fiction artifact can have.
